Horse Racing Tracks - July 07, 2012

A reminder that we're less than two weeks away from the start of both the Saratoga and Del Mar meets. Those two premier sessions run through Labor Day and will be the featured tracks on our East and West Coast racing newsletters.

Today we have three races from Belmont, including the $150K Victory Ride Stakes (G3) and the $350K Suburban Hdcp. (G2), and a pair from Monmouth Park.

East Coast Results: Monmouth Park Race #5 Top Pick #7 (TIZ BOBBY) $2.80.

BELMONT PARK Race #2 at 1:20 PM Eastern

Top pick: #1 (SNEAKY KITTEN) - Nice debut saw this home-bred colt by "Kitten's Joy" bet down to favoritism and finish a pace-tracking second racing hee at this level going 8.5 furlongs. 3-year-old has a near bullet work on July 1st and draws a nice inside post at thiw two-turn 1 1/8th mile trip. The horse to beat.

2nd pick: #6 (Post Pattern) - Long-winded type has a good stretch kick and last out he had some traffic issues before rallying to finish third in the same contest as "Kitten" and was two lengths back of that rival. Grey gelding by turf champ "English Channel" should like this longer trip.

3rd pick: #5 (Mike and Rob) - His best race in seven tries saw him finish second here at this 9-furlong distance on May 20th and last out he tired to finish a distant third in a contest that was switched off the grass and run on a muddy surface.

4th pick: #3 (I'maspeedyguy) - Can "run all day" and moves back to the turf after racing evenly in the same switched race on May 20th that "Mike" raced in. May get a minor award with a late rally.
