Horse Racing Betting Systems - February 29, 2012Both Aqueduct and Tampa Bay Downs are back in action today and we have two races apiece from each track to make up today's East Coast Racing Newsletter. Santa Anita doesn't reopen until tomorrow, so today's West Coast racing Newsletter features 4 races from Delta Downs, where the first race goes off at 3:45 Pacific time. A reminder, that this Saturday Santa Anita will have three Grade 1 stakes on their card, including the $750,000 Santa Anita Hdcp. We'll have all of them on our West Coast Racing Newsletter that afternoon. Tuesday's West Coast Results: ![]() Today's Picks: Top pick: #1 (PHILIPPIS) - Home-bred daughter of Belong to Me raced both wide and evenly when debuting here for $25K at this 6 furlong distance Jan 13th. Tainer Leigh Delacour dropeed her price in half for her 2nd appearance and filly finished 2nd in a much improved overall effort. Has the rail, a nice work on Feb 19th, and she'll be tough in this spot. 2nd pick: #6 (Ruby Red) - She has some speed and races 3rd back off a 6 month layoff. Filly has raced wide and evenly in her first pair back at Gulfstream and looks like a player here in a rather weak field. 3rd pick: #7 (Cristabel) - She raced evenly two back at this price, then tired badly in her latest and finished far back of Philippis. May factor today at a very big price. 4th pick: #9 (Pa Pa Perfect) - She was competitive in a pair at this tag in January, but tired badly last out after chasing the pace. The "hot" barn of Jorge Navarro cuts her back in distance today and she should be involved from gate to wire. DELTA DOWNS Race #2 at 7:15 PM Eastern Top pick: #7 (FAST TIME STREAKER) - Consistent gelding has been freshened-up since breaking her maiden here on Jan 14th racing for $20K. He's (3-1-1-1) since joining the barn of Joe Foster and actually "won" twice but was disqualified out of one. Working fast for this and 3yo is the horse to beat. 2nd pick: #2 (Angel's Chariot) - Another who's been on vacation since a maiden win here (Dec 21st). Claimed that day by Ed Cormier for $10K, gelding draws a nice post and is broughy back 70 days later by the new barn at the purchase price. 3rd pick: #1 (Creeds Ford) - Longshot ships back from the Fair Grounds where he tired badly there after chasing the pace while racing wide after breaking from a tough post (11th of 11). Has the rail and will be in this from start to finish at a big price. 4th pick: #4 (Low Places ) - Lightly raced gelding raced close up before tiring here racing for twice this price on Jan 26th. Race was his first in 7 weeks and trainer Tony Ritchey will drop him to a new low and have him make back to back starst for the first time. 5th pick: #6 (Can We Dream) - Claimed on Dec 31st for $10K, he's working nicely for his return and trainer Brenda brings him back at the purchase price.
