Today we have a pair of veteran pitchers on the mound who don't walk anyone and are off to great starts. The UNDER is 44-19-7 in the Pirates’ last 70 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15 and they face St. Louis righty Kyle Lohse, who is 2-0 with a 0.89 ERA. The UNDER is 4-0 in Lohse's last four starts as a favorite and the UNDER is 5-0 in the Cardinals’ last five road games. Pittsburgh was supposed to be below average this season and it's been worse, No. 30 in the league in runs, batting average (.203), on-base percentage and slugging. They are 12-2 UNDER the total to start the season! That's because the pitching has been sharp and starter Erik Bedard has been a great acquisition with a 2.65 ERA despite no wins. The UNDER is 7-1-1 in the Pirates’ last nine home games. Play the UNDER.
