Baseball Gambling Pick - April 08, 2012Happy Easter! Across all sports yesterday, we banked +13.1 units as we went 12-9. In MLB we went 4-2 yesterday for +12.9 units. We are out t o a 64% start in MLB, as we have started the season at 9-5 for +18.2 units. The secret? We are getting it done with playing underdogs. Yesterday we hit with Kansas City as a big +165 dog, delivering +4.95 units. On Friday, we nailed another moneyline dog as we won with Seattle (+135) for +4.05 units.  Today's Picks: Minnesota has better offensive talent than we've seen so far. It will help to face a pitcher with average stuff, like they face here in Jason Hammel. Picked-up from Colorado, Hammell went 7-13 with a 4.76 ERA. He allowed more hits than innings pitched, but most alarming was his 68 walks in 170 innings. He puts a lot of guys on base, which was why he was 3-9 with a 5.30 ERA at home. Speaking of throwing strikes, that's what Twins starter Anthony Swarzak does best, walking just 13 batters in 63 2/3 innings last year. Swarzak started two games during spring training (both wins) and permitted only one run over a span of 9 2/3 innings. He also posted six strikeouts.
