Miami has its money tied up in its starting quarterback and its defensive line starters. The defense still has major deficiencies, with a bad secondary and linebackers who are poor in pass coverage (see the 41-14 loss to Dallas two weeks ago). They were at home last season in Week 4 of preseason and didn't care, losing 22-17 to a young Tampa Bay team. Almost all of the Dolphins' starters sat out, and they didn't use either of their top two quarterbacks, Ryan Tannehill or Matt Moore, as the offense turned it over four times. Now they host another young up-and-coming hungry team in Tennessee. Mike Mularkey is a hard driving coach and is committed to a run-first offense that has been impressive (2-1 SU/ATS). They come off a win at Oakland, 27-14. Their defense knocked the Oakland Raiders' high-powered offense around, and quarterback Marcus Mariota led the offense to 276 yards, 16 first downs and 20 points in the first half. The Titans offense ripped off nine plays of at least 13 yards in the first half. They have a pair of capable backup QBs in veteran Matt Cassel and Alex Tanney, with the two throwing only one incompletion last week. Tennessee is averaging 23 points per game this preseason. Last season in Week 4, the Titans topped Minnesota, 24-17, with 142 yards rushing and 190 passing, with four QBs combining for three TDs and no picks. Look for a run-oriented game, which keeps the scoring down, and back the hungry young up and coming dog. Play Tennessee and the UNDER.
