LOSS

The Minnesota Vikings earned the right to host this game as NFC North Division Champions. They redeemed a loss to the Packers, going to Lambeau and claiming the division title. The Vikes will seek redemption against Seattle, a team that manhandled them at home 38-7 in early December. It was the most points the Vikings allowed all season, and the second fewest they scored all season, so they were licked on both sides of the ball. Seattle, like last season, shook off the doldrums of a poor start, and came back to finish the season 6-1 SU and 6-1 ATS. Russell Wilson is playing his best football ever, and the Seahawks offense has scored 29 points or more in seven of their last eight games. This is still a team that has a very strong defense, as they held half of their opponents to 13 points or less, and Minnesota just doesn't have enough weapons to compete. Seattle is +87 yards better from the line of scrimmage than their opponent, while despite their 11-5 record Minnesota is getting beaten at the line of scrimmage by 23 yards per contest. The Seahawks own the best scoring defense in the league and are playing like world champions right now. They also get Beast Mode back and rested. Under Pete Carroll, the Seahawks are 21-11 ATS as a favorite in this range (3.5 to 9.5 points) and 15-6 ATS on the road vs. winning teams. It all translates to a big Seattle win in the snow. Play Seattle.
