San Diego at Los Angeles

Watching the San Francisco Giants put some distance between themselves and the Dodgers, wasn't sitting well in LA early in the season as the Dodgers' highest payroll in baseball just didn't seem to be getting it done. That has changed dramatically as the Dodgers have taken control of the NL West, and come into this one now up 3.5 games on the Giants. The Padres will go with Ian Kennedy who had one big year, but has done little prior or after. Kennedy is just 9-10 this season, and owns a 4.00 ERA vs. the Dodgers. Kevin Correia appears to have a new lease on life after being acquired by the Dodgers, allowing 1 run over six innings against Atlanta in his Dodgers debut. The Dodgers have picked up the pace off a day off where they are 19-8 in their last 27. San Diego has struggled here, winning just one of their last seven. The Dodgers get it done at home tonight.
