LOSS

The Jets are proving once again that they are a one-dimensional team. They have a brick wall defense, and Darrell Revis proved he doesn't need training camp. The problem for the Jets is the QB and offense, which leave a lot to be desired. Gone is a running back that gained 1,400+ yards a year ago. LT's replacement, Shonn Greene laid a big egg in week one and didn't get a carry in the second half after fumbling twice in the first half. It's not clear what role he will play but the only other option is an all-time great that has seen his skills erode. LaDainian Tomlinson has averaged 2.57 yards per carry in his last 515 times taking the ball. Couple that with a QB that is mistake prone, and last week had a net of 60 yards on 21 pass attempts. The Jets need their defense to win games and Rex Ryan knows that. New England's defense may look bad on the surface, allowing 345 yards to Carson Palmer last week. But he had 68 yards and a pick one play before the half with the Pats in control 24-3, which ultimately became 31-3. He racked up yards vs. a pourous defense that we as playing not to lose in the second half. New England has played seven of their last nine on the road to the UNDER, and just one of the last five meetings between these clubs has made it over the total. Bellichick has a history of lower-scoring games in division games (37-25 to the UNDER). More of the same to come, so the UNDER gets the call.
