WIN

Minnesota beat Cincinnati 17-16 in Week 1 to bring coach Mike Zimmer's preseason record to 9-1 straight-up and 8-2 ATS. The Vikings got off to a 17-7 lead and then hung on for the win. Teddy Bridgewater completed six of seven passes for 92 yards, and Joel Stave was 8 of 13 with one interception for 76 yards and Shaun Hill was also six of seven for 52 yards. The Vikings lost to Seattle 10-9 in last year's playoffs and although the coaching staff is saying this is not a revenge game, the heartbreaking loss has to be on its mind. Minnesota also lost 38-7 to the Seahawks in the regular season if the Vikings need more motivation, and Zimmer is 3-0 straight-up and ATS in preseason in revenge. The Vikings won and covered the Hall of Fame game in 2015 and then won and covered their next two games against Tampa Bay and Oakland. Seattle had a miracle win last week when Trevone Boykin, an undrafted free agent, completed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Tanner McEvoy with no time remaining and then Troy Pope scored the two-point conversion for the win. The Seahawks offense had managed only field goals until the final drive. Russell Wilson was three of six for 34 yards and Boykin completed 16 of 26 passes for 188 yards. Jake Heaps was 3 of 10 for 33 yards. Seattle lost its first two preseason games in 2015 to Denver and Kansas City and the Seahawks are favored by at least a field goal in this matchup, which is shaky for an exhibition game especially considering Zimmer's preseason record. Play the Vikings.
