Minnesota at Detroit

The Minnesota Vikings have already topped their win total of five from last season. At 6-7 this is a big game for them to get to .500 as they continue to make progress upward. But, for the most part their progress has gone unnoticed. The Vikings were getting pounded early in the season, and were once 2-4 with the four losses were by a combined 80 points or 20 points per game. They have since gone 4-3 with the three losses by a combined 12 points or 4 ppg. Teddy Bridgewater has stepped up the last three games to produce an average of 27.3 ppg, and the Vikings defense has been respectable all season. Detroit struggles for offense, and while they scored 34 in each of their last two games it came against Tampa Bay and Chicago. I expect this one to be a close divisional battle. The Vikings are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games, while the Lions' inconsistent offense has them at 6-17-3 ATS in their last 26 after scoring more than 30 points.
