WIN

The Lions have had a lot of dark days over the years. A 5-0 start gave suffering Lions fans a lot of hope and finally a competive team took the field on Thanksgiving. But after last week most of that is gone. They lost and failed to cover for the eighth straight time on Thanksgiving. They now have to face the red-hot New Orleans Saints - a team catching fire at the right time. Detroit's troubles can be tied to losing  Jahvid Best. Since he went down, this once high-flying offense has failed to reach 20 points in four of their last six. They now they have another hobbled running back in Kevin Smith, reducing them to their third-team running back who has 240 yards on the season. New Orleans is playing at a high level and hung 49 points on the Giants Monday night, leading to a very high total this week. But, the Saints have scored 27 or fewer in three of their last four. Detroit held Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay to 27 points last week and the fact remains that these two defenses are good (Detroit allowing 22.4 per game and New Orleans 22.9 per game - 18.6 per game at home). The Lions have stepped-up to go 10-4 to the UNDER in their last 14 after allowing more than 250 yards in the air in their last game, and have had 10 days to prepare for the Saints. New Orleans has now played six of their last eight vs. a winning team to the UNDER. Under Sean Payton, this team is 12-4 to the UNDER after scoring 25+ points in three straight games. Take the UNDER here.
