Denver at Kansas City

This has been a tough week for Kansas City and this is going to be a tough matchup. The Chiefs are dealing with the loss of Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry and the run defense is #26 in the NFL, allowing 129.4 yards per game. In the last two games alone the Chiefs have allowed 383 rushing yards. Into town comes Denver and that up-tempo, no-huddle offense, ranked #2 in passin. Peyton Manning isn't having the kind of year he had last season but he has still thrown 34 TDs to just 9 INTs. You would think the Kansas City weather this late in the season would help the Chiefs defense, but Denver gets a break here with the weather forecast at 49 degrees and sunny with little wind. Denver is third in total offense and #5 in scoring with 30.2 points per game. The Broncos are 8-3-1 ATS against the AFC West in their last 12. They just hung 39 points on Miami and the Chiefs are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Denver is also on a 35-16-1 run OVER the total and 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings in Kansas City. And under John Fox, the Broncos are 9-1 ATS on the road in division games.
