Cleveland at Golden State

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined to shoot 8-for-27 in Game 1 and Golden State still beat Cleveland by 15 points. That doesn't bode well for the Cavaliers heading into Sunday's game as the depth of the Warriors and Cleveland's cooling off from the three-point line are ominous signs of a short series. Also, Cleveland's defense had a rude awakening after cruising through the Eastern Conference. The Warriors shot 49.4 percent from the field in spite of their stars' off nights. The Cavs shot just 38.1 percent overall and 7-for-21 from beyond the arc. LeBron James scored 23 points with nine assists and 12 rebounds but he inexplicably was on the bench during a 13-2 Golden State run in the third and fourth quarters. The defending champions got 45 points from their bench compared to 10 for Cleveland's reserves. Cleveland had trouble moving the ball as the Warriors defense picked up where it left off when it played an outstanding final two games against Oklahoma City. Golden State has won the last six meetings (5-1 ATS) dating to last season's NBA Finals and the Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS their last five road games overall. Play the Warriors to win and cover Game 2.
