The Pittsburgh Pirates send AJ Burnett to the mound for an emotional start. Burnett announced that he will retire after this season, and you know the Pirates will be playing at a high level to get him a win in his swan song. The Pirates also have work to do, as their magic number to host the NL Wild Card is down to just one game. Brandon Finnegan takes the ball for struggling Cincinnati, and while he has pitched respectfully well, he has yet to go more than five innings in any start. The middle of the Reds bull pen is not very good, and coming off a 12-inning game last night, they are not very rested either. The Reds have lost eight straight games within the division and have shown little bite against a winning team at 7-26 in their last 33. Play on Pittsburgh.
