Carolina at Seattle

Carolina's defense is off a bad game against a powerhouse Oakland offense, but this defense has been playing very well, allowing 20, 20, 10, and 20 points the previous four contests. One of those was a 23-20 victory over the high powered Saints attack. The Panthers are 9-2-1 ATS after getting 250+ yards passing in the previous game. They face a Seattle team that has struggled on offense much of the year because of injuries and weak offensive line play. The Seahawks will go with their fifth different starting offensive line combination in 12 games Sunday against the Panthers. The offense is #20 in the NFL in scoring and #27 in rushing. Seattle is off a 14-5 loss at Tampa Bay as a favorite, a long road trip. That finished a stretch playing four of six away, including long flights to New England, New Orleans, Tampa, and Arizona. At least the defense got some good news this week with players getting healthy, and note that the Seahawks are 12-2 UNDER the total in December as the playoffs approach.
