TCU Horned Frogs vs West Virginia Mountaineers College Game Picks
Remember that time West Virginia was the best team in the country with the best QB on its team? That was only a few weeks ago. Since then, WVU has struggled. They lost a tough road game to Texas Tech. They then invited Kansas State to Morgantown for a game that should have favored them. When all was finally written, WVU had dropped another one. This time, the Wildcats walked all over them by more than three touchdowns. So what can we make of this game when TCU comes calling, as WVU looks to right the ship?
TCU has been a slight disaster of late. They have struggled on the road, especially since losing their starting QB to a suspension. Now they have to make a very long trip to play a very good opponent. This is the type of game where TCU should struggle, especially considering the lackluster play of their defense over the last few weeks. Still, there is a chance that the Mountaineers might pull up lame against another Big 12 opponent.
WVU needs to get things going again on defense. They have been pretty good at stopping the run, but have struggled stopping a decent passing offense. TCU has a decent passing offense that should be able to move the ball well against the Mountaineers. At the end of the day, WVU is favored by almost a touchdown. This should be a clear indication that at least some people think the Mountaineers will have an easy go of things. This may or may not be true. If WVU plays the way it did against Texas, it will be a winner in this game. If it struggles like it did the last two weeks, TCU will march into Morgantown and make this a very close game.
