NFL Picks  - New England Patriots at Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are the most difficult team to pin down in the NFL. Just when you think they are skunked, they come back and surprise you. This happened last week, as the Eagles were without Vick and other stars. They went into New York and took down the Giants, winning a close game. Who would have seen that coming? Most people will tell you that the Eagles have no shot at beating the Patriots this weekend, but who can really say with this bunch? The Eagles are getting 3.5 points at home in a game that should be competitive. They might make a nice pick this week.

The issue for Philly is health. If Vick is healthy and their receivers are good to go, then they do have the weapons to attack New England. If Vick is not healthy, then it will be much more of a struggle. Still, Philly has played good defense over the last few weeks. They shut down New York last week in a game that they had no business winning. New England has looked vulnerable over the last little bit, so this might be a good spot for them to slip up again. On the road, they struggled against Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago.

If you like the Eagles here, then you will want to wait for more injury confirmation. There is no good in making NFL picks only to find out that you made picks with poor information. Make sure that you hear whether De’Sean Jackson is healthy before pulling the trigger. The Eagles do have a chance to be competitive in this game and they could win it outright. Playing at home in a game that they must have, this seems like a good chance to take a chance on Philly. Be careful, though, as betting against New England and Tom Brady is always a difficult position to be in for those people making NFL picks.
