Early lines or late lines in college basketball betting?

As with almost all kinds of betting, there is a big question among college basketball bettors. Should I bet the line early or wait until it has moved. The answer to this depends upon your ability to handicap games, your strategy in waiting out the public, and plenty of other factors. Generally, though, it makes sense to hit lines as early as possible. Though there is not a hard-line rule on this, the early posted line is the one where you can usually find the most value.

That is not to say that this is always the case. In college basketball betting and making college basketball picks, there will be many times when you can jump on a late line after the public has had its say on a game. These scenarios will be plentiful during the season and you can often fade the public if they jump on a game that looks too good to be true. In college basketball betting, it pays to keep yourself flexible so that you can win consistently over the long run. Having an approach that allows you to bet both the early line and late line will keep you in the game when making NCAA basketball picks.
